Customer Solutions Engineer, gTech

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in systems design or coding in a general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, PHP, etc.) and working with web and cloud technologies (i.e., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP).
  • 2 years of experience in delivering technical projects.
  • Experience partnering/working with cross-functional teams translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience working with ad tech products such as ad server, DSPs, DMPs, and web analytics.
  • Excellent project management, people and leadership skills, and ability to formulate data-driven proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.

We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

The gTech Scaled Technical Solutions team is a group of engineers and technical experts, within the gTech Ads Solutions organization, developing customer focused solutions and platforms, increasing scale, reach, and team velocity for all deliverables to customers, promoters, and partners across both Google Customer Solutions and Large Customer Sales segments. Scaled Solutions Engineering is a critical role within gTech Ads, focused on both solutioning and scaling at a global level, partnering with regional stakeholders, product teams and specialists, and re-envisioning the way gTech Ads goes to market across customer segments.

Responsibilities

  • Collect requirements, provide guidance, and best practices to apply to ad products and technologies.
  • Be responsible for scoping, designing, and building a series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be reused by customers, promoters, partners.
  • Adapt existing bespoke ads solutions created by regional teams into globally scaled solutions that can support customers.
  • Own solution life cycle from discovery to launch, handling maintenance bugs and feature requests, as well as deprecation for a portfolio of scaled solutions.
