About the job
As a Managing Director, you will own, and be accountable for the success of YouTube’s country partnerships team by building operational and analytical aptitude across YouTube Business goals in the market, cultivating expertise and best practices, proactively resolving escalations, and escalating blockers. You will mobilize cohesive insights on the creator funnel, journey, and needs in the market through management of Acquisitions, Large Partnerships and Scaled Partnerships teams. You will act as peers to the leading creators and Media CEOs in market and being sought out for their engagement, thought leadership, and credibility on the biggest deals/negotiations.
In this role, you will also be responsible for convening and unifying across functions to maximize YouTube’s business in the country by capturing market dynamics, shifts, and needs through insights/fact base that explain drivers of the market scorecard, competitive landscape, and performance of creators and partners. You will bring cross-functional leads in the market together to build a cohesive narrative and strategy, key shared goals, and annual plans. You will engage with cross-Google leadership on priority partner objectives which serve YouTube business goals. You will identify challenges, opportunities, and escalation paths and act as the overall executive sponsor for YouTube in the market. You will also positively influence reputation, relationships, and regulation in partnership with Government Affairs & Public Policy (GAPP) and cross-functional stakeholders by.

Responsibilities
- Report to the VP Partnerships (APAC) and oversee all of our operations in Japan, playing a significant role in the leadership and development of the APAC region as a whole.
- Build operational and analytical excellence across YouTube Business goals in the market, cultivating expertise and best practices, proactively resolving escalations, and escalating blockers.
- Mobilize cohesive insights on the creator funnel, journey, and needs in the market through management of Acquisitions, Large Partnerships, and Scaled Partnerships teams.
- Capture market dynamics, shifts, and needs through insights/fact base that explain drivers of the market scorecard, competitive landscape, and performance of creators and partners.
- Be responsible for managing and coaching a high-energy team dedicated to each vertical (i.e., Creator and Shopping Partnerships, Media Co Partnerships, Responsibility Partnerships, Scaled Partnerships) with the head of each vertical reporting to you.
