Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • MBA, strategy consulting or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in strategy-oriented roles such as management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, strategy consulting or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in strategy-oriented roles, with a proven track record of shaping business strategy as a trusted partner to executives.
  • Experience delivering compelling, data-driven recommendations that drive action and influence executive-level decisions.
  • Experience in financial/business modeling and crafting executive-level presentations.
  • Experience in consumer electronics, Business-to-Business (B2B) sales, technology, media, or telecom.
  • Ability to separately structure ambiguous problems, build investigative frameworks, and scope projects from goal to execution.

About the job

The Devices and Services Business Organization (DSBO) is the commercial team responsible for putting the magic of Google’s technology in consumers' hands and homes, through Pixel Mobile Products and our Home and Health businesses. The product categories we work across include Pixel phones and the supporting Pixel ecosystem (earbuds, tablets, smartwatches), as well as Nest, Fitbit, and other product lines and services.

Our mission is to chart the best strategic course for the business and drive decision-making through the organization to pursue it. As a member of the Americas Sales Strategy and Operations team, you will partner closely with commercial leadership and a wide group of cross-functional partners to drive the growth of our products in highly engaged and dynamic markets. You will take on a wide range of strategy and operations projects and serve as a key partner to our sales leaders, with an eye toward medium- to long-term commercial impact.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic goal across commercial partners and lead the development and piloting of new Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives to grow market share.
  • Build the business case for new market entry, expansion, or exit based on analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional annual planning, set yearly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and establish governance to review and refresh strategic goals.
  • Evaluate large investment opportunities, creating the frameworks, principles, and governance for allocating funds.
  • Optimize team design and improve business-critical processes to drive efficiency and goal attainment.
