Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience managing technical programs in the networking industry.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience partnering closely with engineering, product managers, and stakeholders and to ensure Technical Program Management alignment with engineering and product priorities.
- Experience defining process and business metrics, measure improvement, identifying trends and continuous improvement.
- Experience with networking including routing and optical transport, software-defined network, network planning and design, ML and cloud technologies
- Ability to forecast resourcing requirements for the Technical Program Management team, while driving sublinear scaling at a rapid pace.
About the job
As part of the Technical Program Management Global Networking Technology (GNT) team, you will utilize your leadership skills and your talents for technical program management, aligning cross-functional teams, delivering large innovative New Product Introductions (NPIs) and solutions for the massively scaled global production network to meet the needs of our external and internal customers.
As Director, you will lead the global networking technology and solution development programs to meet our customers and stakeholders needs and always accelerate time to value. You will lead a team responsible for delivering innovative large hardware and software NPIs, software-based control plane and management plane programs, and network planning and design solutions across multiple organizations within Google.
In this role, you will be an excellent technical leader and connect the dots, align on the right priorities across the organizations, identify dependencies between the NPIs and customer deliveries, manage the leadership escalation and proposing path to green solutions, and deliver end-to-end business outcomes and impact for the business. You will also set the roadmap and strategy, driving process improvement, and define and measure the success metrics for the organization.
Additionally, you will utilize experience managing teams of different disciplines to deliver results in a timely manner. You will use your experience in software and hardware engineering, distributed systems, networking technology development and deployment. You will inspire the organization, demonstrating clear productivity and efficiency improvement, aligning with stakeholders, identifying trends, and implementing change.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead a technical program management team supporting Google’s Global Network Technology organization.
- Be responsible for leading planning, execution, and delivery of internal and external technical programs and critical initiatives for GNT.
- Partner with executive leadership engineering and other stakeholders and to ensure Technical Program Management alignment with engineering and product priorities. Forecast resourcing requirements for Technical Program Management, while driving sublinear scaling at a rapid pace.
- Influence New Product Introduction (NPI) and product roadmap and provide expertise and actional insight throughout the NPI lifecycle.
- Evolve and improve the business processes governing the product lifecycle of the GNT NPIs programs.
