Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in social media/channel management, community management, social copywriting or a related field for brands/products.
- Experience in working with cross-functional partners.
- Experience with the Discord and X platform including best practices, formats and engagement tactics.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience making impact in highly cross-functional teams spanning product, PR, policy, legal, marketing and more.
- Experience managing creative, media and digital agencies to develop highly engaging content.
- Experience with Sprinklr and AirTable.
- Ability to deliver quality output with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability in, and comfort with, working in an ambiguous, chaotic, and fluid environment.
About the job
In this role, you will be focused on managing Discord and X channels, including content strategy, community management, operations, measurement and governance. You will be the team expert on both channels, with subject matter expertise in driving innovative social content that drives engagement and channel growth with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Enthusiast communities. You will be responsible for briefing agency partners on evergreen content creation, reviewing all requests for content across the Marketing team, operationalizing channel events on Discord, and producing, uploading and optimizing content on both channels, as well as helping grow Discord and X communities by monitoring conversation and engaging with User Generated Content (UGC) and comments.
You will lead the way in modernizing the platforms that Google utilizes and align the content strategy that fits each platform and channel need. This role will require you to think end-to-end from channel strategy and campaign brief, to optimization across the channels, to measurement reporting and insights that inform the next brief.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Own the channel and content strategies for Discord and X channels, partner with, Product Marketing Manager (PMM), Go-to-Market (GTM) and Product teams.
- Own Discord event coordination, work with internal stakeholders across Product Manager (PM), PMM, GTM and Communications.
- Manage executive stakeholder involvement in X channel content reviews and ideation.
- Implement social media community management tactics and best practices when engaging with users across channels.
- Help define and maintain the community management strategy, including methods for engagements, moderation policies, content building, and outreach initiatives.
