Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or equivalent experience with enterprise software technology.
  • 5 years of experience with people management.
  • Experience working in the SMB space.
  • Experience leading cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience with people management from medium- to large-sized teams.
  • Experience with marketing and business operations, financial analytics, or other related analytical experience.
  • Experience in consulting and working with behavioural marketing data.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

In this role, you will lead a pivotal function in Google Cloud's Go-to-Market organization and will drive our Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) positioning and solution promoting priorities, transforming how we engage with customers for accelerated growth. You will lead a global team responsible for crafting compelling narratives that position our repeatable and deployable solutions across SMB. You will be empowering our SMB business organizations globally, equipping them with the insights and tools to foster meaningful business value conversations with customers. Beyond team leadership, you will serve as a trusted domain expert, providing exceptional insights into Google Cloud's market positioning, evolving industry and consumer trends, and the application of our technology offerings. You will directly impact our market perception and business effectiveness.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$297,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead development of customer-facing content, positioning the value of Google Cloud to solve industry-specific issues in compelling narratives and thought leadership.
  • Uncover opportunities for Google Cloud messaging within the engaged Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape, leveraging market insights to drive decisions and propel our offerings.
  • Orchestrate collaboration across various partner teams across Google Cloud (Marketing, Enablement, Communications), promoting a shared passion for storytelling and ensuring the delivery of content.
  • Manage a team of talented content marketers to ensure efficient execution while prioritizing team culture, development and growth.
  • Follow and be fluent in industry trends and advancements in AI, marketing, and storytelling. Write compelling content for stakeholders to deliver at key events and speaking engagements.
