Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration and drive decisions with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience implementing large-scale HR projects, risk management/mitigation and supporting change management, business readiness, communications, and training activities.
- Knowledge of a range of HR subjects, and familiarity with CoE disciplines and local employment law.
- Excellent project management skills and delivery, with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
- Excellent change management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
About the job
At Google, our Market Consultant role is known for deep subject matter expertise in HR programs, processes and execution in their particular Market. They work closely with the Head of HR, who sets the strategy via the Market HR Plan, to execute on and operationalize Google’s geographic priorities in Market.
As a Market Consultant, you will utilize knowledge in company and local programs, policies, and compliance procedures to offer a compelling perspective around HR matters as it relates to the Market, internally and externally. You will manage multiple country-specific compliance and/or government mandated programs including Reconciliation Action Plans and Workplace Pay Gap Reporting, and understand when and how to appropriately escalate decisions or urgent matters. You'll facilitate partner discussions and drive decisions that are good for Google and bring partners/stakeholders along with your change management skills.

Responsibilities
- Work with the relevant teams to ensure end-to-end delivery for our HR processes in country. Contribute to the deployment of high priority country focused HR programs and initiatives, aligned to the country People plan.
- Manage local employment policy and practices to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Solve for compliance matters and review local policies in the context of the market.
- Work with the HR Compliance team, Process Ownership team, User Support team and the relevant COE teams on prioritizing and mitigating market related risks.
- Support local labor relations management, including engaging with councils/work councils where applicable. Provide local context and advice on key HR related matters.
- Drive recommendations and prioritization to ensure work is in service of the end-to-end delivery of our Googler Experience in country.
