Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity role, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience creating complex data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Americas Agreements and Google Marketing Platform (GMP) Commercials GTM team manages high-impact agreement programs across the Americas, playing a critical role in shaping Google’s business. These programs include the Video Incentive Program (VIP), Media Trials Program (MTP), and Media Readiness Program (MRP).

As a key member of this team, you will support our Americas GTM team and sales experts across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. You will serve as the associate expert for our agreement programs. You will collaborate with sales teams and other teams like Finance, Compliance, and Legal to prioritize needs, design new initiatives, and execute projects that keep the programs running efficiently.

In this role, you will focus on Google’s commercial agreements and programs. You will guide sales teams through the agreement approval process, review and approve agreements to ensure they align with company policy, and manage cross-functional forums for complex agreement reviews. You will develop and deliver training to sales teams and recommend enhancements to the commercial programs based on regional feedback and data. Essentially, you will be the expert who ensures agreements are structured effectively and sales teams are well-equipped to use the programs.The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000-$138,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Guide teams through the agreement approval process, answer questions, and clarify policies. Advise on agreement structures using historical data and market trends, and developing regional-specific materials.
  • Work with Regional Sales Finance to review and approve new and renewal agreements within Google’s systems. Evaluate agreement models, identify any non-standard terms, and escalate agreements for further review.
  • Manage the review process for agreements through cross-functional forums (RMDR and RBX) to ensure they meet program standards and serve Google’s best interest. Partner with Central Agreement Experts to review monthly agreement performance and recommend improvements.
  • Lead the annual assessment of the commercial programs for the Americas region, gathering feedback from various markets to recommend and drive enhancements. Be responsible for training sales teams on program rules, developing and delivering communications, and escalating issues that require program changes.
