Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with platform design or knowledge of system, web, and app design across form factors and platforms.
- Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features, all with a user-centered design process.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills for product design strategy.
- Passion for designing consistent experiences with experience with design for accessibility.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. Like all of our UX jobs, you’ll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.
Help Experience (HeX) is responsible for designing solutions that help Google users. The team builds products and infrastructure to provide solutions for Google products leveraging AI technologies to create a positive self-service support experience.
Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality designs that are cohesive and holistic balancing user and business needs from concept to execution.
- Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups or high fidelity prototypes.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide solutions.
- Develop new approaches to design problems while ensuring designs support a systematic design approach to reuse including alignment with Google wide design standards.
- Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
