Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go.
- 5 years of experience in Android application development and frameworks.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in building applications and pipelines with excellent software engineering skills.
- Experience in Android development with Java.
- Experience with Android and e-commerce payments systems.

As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Payments Product Area in India leading the team to develop and integrate with the client and server-side protocols for onboarding new Forms of payment (FOP) in various markets across the globe, improve the time it takes to launch and grow value for Google.
- Work with the Product and Business Development teams in Play to increase New Paying User and cost savings through FOP amplification and promotion campaign management, FOP experience optimization in local markets through FOP decline recovery and FOP ranking etc.
- Lead initiatives to improve FOP monitoring and observability, such as performance dashboard with latency breakdown etc.
