Software Developer III, Full-Stack, Cloud Applied AI

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience building or integrating with cloud-based contact center technologies (e.g., CCaaS platforms, telephony, WebRTC) and an understanding of customer support operations.
  • Experience with Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), or conversational AI systems, especially in the development of AI agents or agentic frameworks.
  • Experience with complex, cross-functional projects and managing technical collaborations with external partners and vendors.

The Cloud Applied AI (AAI) powers business growth with Gemini Enterprise. Our portfolio includes Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience (Shopping Agent, CX Agent Studio, Agent Assist, Vertex AI Search - Commerce, Customer Experience Insights), along with other vertical and domain packaged solutions. We enable high adoption and speed to value by building solutions that are quickly deployed, delivering new 0-to-1 capabilities with startup agility. The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 150,000-154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end development of our cloud-based contact center software, from architectural design to deployment and operations.
  • Serve as one of the team's key technical leaders, with the ability to dig deep into complex system design, performance, and reliability issues to guide the team to robust solutions. Define and deliver the technical roadmap for integrating our AI agents into a unique ecosystem of first-party and third-party chat and voice surfaces.
  • Lead technical engagement and co-development efforts with strategic external partners, ensuring seamless integration of their technologies with our platform.
  • Participate in an action-oriented and agile environment to accelerate development and execution in a rapidly evolving domain.
  • Apply your domain expertise in contact centers, customer support workflows, or Generative AI to guide product direction and navigate complex technical trade-offs.
