Senior UX Designer, Google Photos and Google One

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Experience working on AI prototyping tools.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience designing and shipping software design experiences for multiple device types and contexts.
  • Experience with Figma and other design tools.
  • Experience partnering with visual designers, user researchers, content strategists, product managers, and engineers.
  • Knowledge of user research techniques and how they can be applied to problem solving.
  • Excellent interaction design skills, with knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

As the Senior UX Designer, you will drive product and UX strategy, bringing designs to life with prototypes and telling compelling stories that motivate others.

Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive UX design across projects and future opportunities.
  • Articulate user journeys with scenarios, storyboards and presentations, low and high-fidelity mocks, detailed interaction specs, and prototypes to communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Partner with UXR on research hypotheses and participate in user research.
  • Contribute to UX idea and strategy, generating buy-in and operationalizing the strategy across teams and timelines.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects at once that change on a regular basis.
