Strategic Partnership Development Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years work experience in a partner-facing role at a technology company, start-up or consulting.
  • Experience with Corporate Scientific Research teams in a cross-functional role.
  • Experience in partnerships or product management in an Internet or technology environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, process navigation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager for the Generative AI, Research Partnerships team, you will lead partnership discussions with external partners to help enable AI model development and deployment, working with Regional partners and Global Research teams.

You will escalate and present research and business development strategies and key issues to the leadership. You will work with Product Managers, Program Managers, Engineering, UX, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and other cross-functional teams on new and existing initiatives and help Google Deepmind (GDM).

You will own ecosystem engagement of a portfolio of relationship management with partners, data providers and governments. You will work with the Singapore and APAC GDM and cross-functional team including Legal, Finance, Government Affairs, Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) and compliance for agreement execution.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and lead exploratory discussions with partners and negotiate and close partnerships, including licensing and sponsorship.
  • Drive the development of quantitative market analyses to identify and prioritize business opportunities for product missions. Develop partnerships to drive positive impact for Research Models.
  • Create written communications and presentations with messages tailored to different audience levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop partner strategy and collaboration plans for the Research team.
  • Invest in understanding the customer needs amidst local and global regulatory headwinds and to provide thought leadership and execute partnerships.
