Consulting Account Lead Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in technology delivery, consulting, advisory or enterprise customer experience.
  • 2 years of experience with people management (e.g., developing and leading technology transformation, consulting, advisory, or customer experience teams).
  • Experience leading technology transformation programs for enterprise organizations.
  • Experience in virtualization or cloud native architectures in a customer-facing or support role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience successfully growing and managing a professional services programs with a large industry presence.
  • Experience managing a software business and software solutions with acumen to deliver to enterprise customers.
  • Experience building talented, varied teams, and coaching and developing others.
  • Experience leading enterprise large-scale AI transformation.
  • Understanding of team dynamics, with an emphasis on creating a culturally fluent environment.
  • Ability to maintain C-level relationships within the industry and reputation as an industry thought leader, including deep consulting and client skills.

About the job

As a Consulting Account Lead (CAL) Manager, you will be responsible for building, coaching, and leading a high-performing team of CALs dedicated to driving enterprise AI transformation. You will move beyond individual account ownership to focus on the strategic health of a portfolio of accounts. You will ensure your team acts as an executive trusted advisors to C-suite executives, providing the framework, guidance, and executive air cover necessary to deliver tangible business value from Google Cloud and AI. You are responsible for regional delivery excellence, talent development, and aligning your team’s execution with Google Cloud’s broader Go-To-Market (GTM) and Customer Experience strategy.

In this role, you will be expected to be on the customer site approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, architectural excellence, and strategic consulting for Google Cloud’s most complex accounts.
  • Oversee transformation journeys across a portfolio of strategic accounts, acting as an executive escalation point and partner for C-suite stakeholders. Provide strategic guidance to your team on shaping multi-year roadmaps that align Google Cloud and AI solutions with customer business objectives.
  • Ensure high-quality execution across accounts by establishing best practices for program governance and operating models. Proactively partner with CALs to identify, mitigate, and resolve high-level transformation risks that could impact realized value or customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a senior liaison between CAL team and broader Google Cloud leadership (PSO, TAM, Engineering, and Sales).
  • Drive alignment to ensure CAL team has necessary resources and cross-functional support to unblock complex delivery challenges.
