Technical Program Manager, Chrome and Web Ecosystem

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in software development projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience working in a complex organization involving Cross-functional (xFN) and Cross-Product Area (xPA) projects.
  • Familiarity with security and data privacy regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with developing for the open web, including web standards bodies and chromium.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and dynamic conditions.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Technical Program Managers (T/PgMs) within Chrome provide engineering program management for building and shipping our most critical and innovative features to end users, in close partnership with Product Management, Engineering, User Experience, and cross-functional teams. This includes everything from performance optimizations to growing our presence on mobile/desktop to harnessing GenAI to bring new capabilities to billions of users around the world. Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and UX designers/researchers in executing projects and programs from concept to launch including planning, tracking progress, identifying and resolving issues, and managing dependencies.
  • Design and roll-out processes and tools to increase the velocity of engineering teams, and the quality of product launches.
  • Provide program management leadership for the portfolio of Chrome and Web Ecosystem priorities and establish effective partnerships with engineering, product, and UX leads.
  • Deliver continuous and transparency to keep core team members aligned, and stakeholders informed.
  • Leverage an understanding of feature development to identify and build new operational improvements and processes.
