About the job

We are seeking a Director of Legal, who can operate equally as a big-picture thinker while also problem solving on selected high stake matters. In this role, you will represent Google internally and externally. Reporting to the Head of Legal APAC, you will motivate a team of full-service legal professionals (including litigation, commercial, and product work) across the region to execute Google’s strategic legal agenda, taking into consideration broader geopolitical, marketplace, industry, and public sentiment, as well as Alphabet and Google’s vision, strategy, and long-term goals.

Collaborating with the executive leadership of adjacent functional areas (e.g., public policy, compliance, specialist legal teams such as anti-competition, privacy etc.) will be essential to the success of the role.

As an integral component of both the APAC Legal leadership and the regional cross-functional Japan leadership, you will navigate complex, matrixed, and relationship driven organizations in order to become an invaluable leader in shaping Google’s growth in the region.
