Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 14 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide/cross-functional project planning and execution.
  • Experience with building risk-based corporate compliance programs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience influencing decision-making at all levels.
  • Experience bringing structure and clarity to complex and ambiguous situations, including the ability to analyze fragmented information, identify key attributes, and develop balanced recommendations and effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of risk and compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks.
  • Familiarity with industry-accepted risk and compliance policies and frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex compliance concepts and requirements to audiences.

About the job

We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Lead to help shape the future of competition compliance. In this role, you will lead the execution of our global competition compliance strategy.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$294,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Implement compliance programs, proactively identify risk areas, develop strategic roadmaps, and oversee adoption throughout product and cross-functional execution. 
  • Lead the team in conducting in-depth analyses of complex product features, establishing rigorous tracking and reporting and providing clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to both compliance leads and product teams. 
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to determine optimal implementation pathways for new programs, and manage the execution of detailed implementation plans to ensure comprehensive and effective competition compliance and risk management programs.
  • Provide strong leadership, motivation, and empowerment to a team of risk, compliance, & integrity compliance specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture while helping to manage workload and develop individual talent.
  • Advocate for competition compliance initiatives within Google, sharing expertise and building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and program adoption.
