Staff Software Engineer, Supply Chain Intelligence and Innovation

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with cloud-hosted services (e.g., Google Cloud Platform (GCP)).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 10 years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership, with a focus on managing large-scale technical solutions and migrations.
  • Experience in architecting and implementing integrations between internal systems and external platforms, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience in applying AI/ML technologies to solve business problems, improving automation, productivity, and customer experience while reducing cost.
  • Experience driving technical decisions across a team and growing other technical individual contributors.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, database design, and complex systems integrations.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will solve the most challenging technical problems facing the company. Your work will influence the long-term technical direction of multiple teams and ensure that the engineering organization is positioned for future growth. You will be a key advisor to leadership and an advocate for engineering culture.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define the technical strategy and direction for a large product area or infrastructure domain.
  • Solve cross-functional technical challenges that span multiple organizations.
  • Advise the leadership on technical feasibility, risks, and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation through mentorship of the engineers and leads.
  • Identify and eliminate systemic technical bottlenecks and architectural weaknesses across the organization.
