About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

In this role, you will own cost estimates, cost benchmarking, and the pre-construction commercial activities of new data center builds. You will act as the point of contact between project team key stakeholders and the Asia Pacific (APAC) Estimating teams as well as ensure support and budget for project consultant estimators. You will work with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and partner teams, ensuring all cost data developed and managed meets the requirements specific to each project’s needs. You will report directly to the Region Estimating Manager and work with the Strategic Estimating team to ensure alignment within Global Estimating.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, manage expectations of executive cross-functional leads, and ensure they have the insights they need to make decisions.
  • Be responsible for the development, maintenance, and updates to all Data Center construction cost estimates for ongoing and new data center projects, and provide data analytics regarding those estimates for the region.
  • Own communications, manage meetings and deliverables as the point of contact between the project teams and the estimating team, and ensure support and budget for project consultant estimators.
