Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience leading negotiations or business development.
  • 10 years of experience in commercial real estate, business-focused sourcing, or infrastructure acquisition.
  • Experience in agreement drafting, financial modeling, and analysis (e.g., Yield on Cost, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR)).
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with data center technology, power transmission/distribution, and cooling technology (e.g., understanding of technical requirements like redundancy models (N+1, 2N) and power density).
  • Experience in managing and negotiating government incentives and economic development agreements.
  • Track record of working with industrial developers or a cloud provider.
  • Ability to work in a changing, ambiguous, and global environment, with presenting to C-suite and executive leadership.

About the job

As a Manager, Data Center Investments and Partnerships at Google, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of strategic negotiators on the front lines of securing the physical infrastructure that powers Google’s global products, including Google Search, Google Cloud, and AI innovation. In this leadership role, you will leverage expertise in data center real estate, complex commercial negotiations, and financial modeling to guide the team in driving transactions from market analysis to agreement execution.

You will be responsible for defining and directing the global strategy for acquiring and structuring third-party data center (colocation) capacity, as well as large-scale build-to-suit and joint venture development projects. By mentoring your team, advocating innovative commercial structures, and fostering alignment with cross-functional leadership, you will scale Google's global footprint. Your leadership will directly accelerate capacity delivery, mitigate long-term risk, and drive savings for the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of strategic negotiators, guiding them through complex real estate transactions, commercial structuring, and professional growth.
  • Drive execution of high-value infrastructure agreements, including colocation leases, power purchase agreements, fiber agreements, and joint ventures.
  • Advocate advanced agreement strategies (e.g., NNN, sale-leasebacks) to optimize financials (IRR/ROI), mitigate risk, and align with Legal, Finance, and Tax.
  • Direct global pipeline development, analyze market capacity, and cultivate c-level external partnerships to secure critical data center footprints.
  • Align cross-functionally with internal leadership to translate technical infrastructure needs into executive-ready financial business cases (NPV, TCO).
