Sector Lead, Retail (Spanish, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • 3 years of experience managing sales teams.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish to engage with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience influencing executive level clients and stakeholders in a sales management capacity.
  • Experience in marketing or advertising within the retail industry.
  • Knowledge of full-funnel marketing strategies and media, including online-to-offline, TV, and digital video.
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to create and further develop existing relationships and business.
  • Ability to drive business results for clients and for Google.

As a Sector Lead for Retail in Mexico, you will lead and strengthen a sales team focused on a select group of the largest and most influential retail advertisers in the Mexican market. Leadership entails inspiring the team with a compelling goal for how we can identify client business challenges in order to deliver unparalleled value to our customers.

You will run the day-to-day operations for your team by setting clear goals and helping them clear roadblocks. You will collaborate with fellow managers, partner with sales leadership to set strategic objectives for the retail vertical, and build strong relationships across the Google network. Actively engaged with local clients and agencies, you will build the business and develop a reputation for thought leadership and industry change within the Mexican retail landscape, all while demonstrating how Google products can enhance and transform their businesses.

We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Manage core sales and cross-functional teams to deliver omnichannel insights and innovative customer service, driving business growth for Mexican retail clients and Google.
  • Cultivate C-level partnerships with CEOs and CMOs, acting as a trusted advisor to guide their digital transformation and retail media strategies.
  • Leverage local insights and data trends capitalizing on events like buen fin to build strategic narratives and high-impact business plans.
  • Guide thought leadership within the Mexican retail ecosystem by partnering with internal leaders to navigate industry shifts and equip sales teams for success.
  • Foster a high-performing team culture while serving as an external voice for Google at key industry events and client engagements.
