Product Manager, Cross Product Safety, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with Machine Learning solutions and technologies, or platform solutions and tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including policy development, operations, and feature teams, particularly within the Trust & Safety domain.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools, compliance or risk mitigation spaces.
  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.

The Cross Product Safety team enables YouTube innovation by allowing features to launch safely and responsibly - in a fast and easy way. This team brings the best of Trust and Safety to feature teams, enabling them to achieve their product goals.

In this role, you will partner extensively with policy development, operations, engineering, feature teams, and numerous other functions. You will build deep Trust & Safety expertise, and gain exposure to the full spectrum of our protective measures – from sophisticated detection classifiers to our creator communication strategies and appeals processes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Help envision and launch next generation solutions allowing Trust and Safety to scale. From automating risk analysis to launching new enforcement capabilities.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with feature development teams, acting as the primary point of contact and a trusted advisor.
  • Systematically evaluate the risks of emerging YouTube features, identifying potential vulnerabilities and outlining impact assessments to ensure user safety from the outset.
  • Design and implement comprehensive mitigation plans for new features.
