Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or management field.
  • 5 years of experience leading global, cross-functional teams in EHS audit or quality assurance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in building trusted partnerships across a global organization to guide alignment on complex EHS initiatives and translating technical risks into actionable insights for executive-level decision-making.
  • Experience applying these standards to develop, audit, and harmonize EHSMS across business units with in-depth knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 frameworks.
  • Ability to design and utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to monitor global program health, leveraging data-driven trend analysis to implement continuous process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and safety.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As part of the Compliance, Safety and Risk Management (CSRM) team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program for our new data centers currently under construction. This includes, but is not limited to, managing Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System (EHSMS), ensuring environmental compliance, and providing site oversight. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contractors to identify and address EHS concerns through proactive risk identification and mitigation.

You will help ensure the safety of the operations workforce and the protection of both the environment and the business. Furthermore, you will provide guidance on the implementation of new and critical EHS initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement and iteration of our global programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central authority for the Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS), ensuring standards and management practices are harmonized across all support customers.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new business units into the internal EHSMS by establishing expectations, defining minimum requirements, and conducting initial operational risk assessments.
  • Act as the primary EHS Risk Coordinator to align internal systems with the corporate risk framework while providing regular data-driven updates to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop high-performing program teams and maintain trusted relationships with executive stakeholders across operations, construction, and new customer groups.
  • Identify and execute process improvements for the broader organization by leveraging operational data to inform consensus and strategic decision-making.
