Consultant, Managed Defense, Mandiant

Remote location: United Arab Emirates.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in information security, SOC, incident response or similar cyber experience.
  • 2 years of experience in technical delivery, service delivery, client management/managed services experience.
  • Experience with critical tools used in incident response, computer forensics, malware analysis, network or host-based intrusion detection, proactive services, remediation, vulnerability testing.
  • Experience working with enterprise detection technologies and processes including Advanced Threat Detection tools, IDS/IPS, Network Packet Analysis, Endpoint Protection, Identity Security, and Cloud Security.
  • Experience with network, security protocols and operating systems (Unix, Linux).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with navigating current information security issues and solutions.
  • Experience in collecting, analyzing, and escalating security events; responding to computer security incidents or collecting, analyzing, and disseminating cyber threat intelligence.
  • Experience evaluating customer needs, coordinating design for a solution, and the ability to clearly communicate solutions.
  • Ability to deliver succinct and fact-based communications, both verbally and in writing to various levels of stakeholders.

As a Mandiant Threat Defense Technical Consultant, you will serve as one of Mandiant Threat Defense's thought leaders. You will own service delivery of detection and response against attackers for multiple customers. You will be the dedicated point of contact through on-boarding and service delivery of our customers. You will set expectations around service delivery and be a part of a team that provides tactical remediation efforts, targeted recommendations, quality service, and community protection. You are counted on to be the trusted advisor to our customers and help the team deliver the right combination of technology, intelligence, and expertise to fit our customer's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, focused on security, understanding their needs and issues.
  • Deliver insightful technical briefings on the latest security trends, including threat intelligence and malware analysis.
  • Address intricate technical issues with ambiguous requirements, developing innovative and effective solutions.
  • Take initiative and ownership of projects and tasks, working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Partner with various teams and stakeholders across various departments to achieve shared goals.
