As a leader in the Commerce and Content Operations team, you'll support your team in providing support to our customers, partners and developers through a variety of support channels, including email, phone, groups and help centers. Your team will identify and resolve complex customer issues externally, serve as the voice of the user internally, sharing feedback, bugs and product suggestions with the Product and Marketing teams to create the best possible experience for our users. You'll lead your team, build direction and strategy, analyze performance and prioritize project development to deliver Google-caliber experience to your customers.

We've evolved from our roots in search evaluation & analysis by expanding our human computation and experimental analysis expertise. As the Director of Data Science, Analytics for Merchant Shopping, you will lead a dynamic team driving data-driven strategies in the realm of merchant needs and dynamics, product development, and Applied AI. Your expertise in data science, merchant analytics, commerce, and market expansion will shape the future of our shopping experience and drive growth in new markets. Inspired by industry leaders in the shopping space, you will pioneer innovative strategies to enhance user experience, optimize product functionalities, and maximize growth opportunities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data science, consumer behavior, merchant dynamics, and market expansion.
  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI algorithms to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Apply advanced statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms to optimize product features, personalize user experiences, and enhance product relevance.
  • Establish KPIs, metrics, and performance dashboards to monitor key business metrics and track progress.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for growth within the shopping vertical, conducting market research, competitor analysis, and user segmentation.
