Central Strategy and Operations Senior Associate, Go-To-Market (English, Chinese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in sales operations, management consulting, or a technical project management role, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Experience with data analysis (e.g., SQL, advanced spreadsheets).
  • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese fluently, to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with data sets, SQL database queries, and dashboarding (e.g., connect sales, business intelligence platforms or Tableau).
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or similar methodologies for eliminating operational waste.
  • Familiarity with business automation, or no-code automation platforms.
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational challenges independently, with a focus on enhancing system efficiency through process improvements.
  • Ability to translate technical data into strategic "so what" insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence sales teams to adopt new technologies and ways of working.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) team ensures that Google's complex and ever-evolving ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting the go-to-market strategy and guiding execution and operations against the strategy. We stay focused on aligning the company priorities with day-to-day operations, while also helping to evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas, as well as global teams that work across the business areas.

As a Sales Strategy and Operations Senior Associate, you will be the bridge between regional strategy and technical execution, working in direct partnership with sales leadership, and will lead the transition toward operations.

You have a focus on operational excellence, with a dedication for continuous process improvement and identifying opportunities for innovation. You can distill complex business needs into executable automated workflows, partnering with the stakeholders to ensure our operations are as advanced as the products we sell. You will extract insights from the processes you have designed to support leadership decision making. You navigate between strategic planning and the technical details of our sales engine. You will evaluate existing workflows, extract insights from our data, and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Own a workstream in central strategic projects for Greater China and Korea (GCKR), ensuring they are delivered with velocity.
  • Design and run business-critical processes using advanced metrics to track performance. Report on data and build the systems, including automation, that improve it.
  • Support regional roll-out of sales tools and automated workflows, ensuring adoption, and identifying opportunities for custom local optimizations.
  • Collaborate with APAC and Global GTM teams to pilot and implement central projects, serving as the GCKR expert.
  • Challenge the status quo by proposing alternatives to legacy manual operations.
