Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL).
  • 1 year of experience managing analytical projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in scripting, statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS), developing and managing metrics, and evaluating programs/products.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly among audiences at many different levels.
  • Excellent problem-framing, problem-solving and team collaboration skills.

The Search Vertical teams develop products that help users with information needs. In this role, you will support Social Responsibility Verticals (SRV), which focus on user needs that work to improve the lives of as many people as possible.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams of Search Verticals to provide analytical thought leadership, support metrics research and advanced statistical analysis of user journeys on search.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify metric improvement areas, design new metrics, and evaluation methods.
  • Support teams with advanced experimentation methods, detect user learning effects, and drive user insights from A/B testing metrics analysis.
  • Work with data sets and solve non-routine investigative issues, use problem-solving and statistical methods to the issues to measure quality, improve consumer products, and understand the behavior of end-users.
  • Make product recommendations with presentations of findings for multiple levels of stakeholders.
