Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in solution engineering or architecture.
- 6 years of experience in software technology or technical partner management in Android or other Linux-based embedded systems.
- 5 years of experience in stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting.
- 3 years of experience writing code in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience in Android platform or application development.
- Experience in consulting, technical consulting in a customer-facing role, with solid results working with a variety of different types of customers, engineers, and business.
About the job
The Android Partner Engineering team (APE) works closely with the Android device ecosystem to extend the boundaries of the Android platform. The team is engaged with OEMs, carriers, chip-set vendors and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) across the globe and work in a changing technology driven environment.
As a Technical Solutions Consultant in Android Partner Engineering (TSC in APE), you will serve as the engagement manager responsible for the success of key Android and Google apps partnerships with Android OEMs. You will lead deployments, optimize implementations and integrations to drive new business opportunities, and manage the technical aspects to build strong, successful, and long-term Android partnerships. As a technical expert, you will leverage a broad set of tools and technologies to deliver and optimize solutions that align with the strategic business objectives of the product in the Android ecosystem.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$263,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Advocate new features and policy with Google's products including Google Mobile Services (GMS) apps and Android, resolve technical tests promptly, and ensure enablement and launches of the products in quality.
- Ensure the seamless integration and customization of a partner’s solution by providing the necessary technical guidance.
- Improve Android product features, by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including product management, business development and engineering.
- Oversee engineering projects with partners, ensuring they stay on track and are completed as planned by creating and maintaining project plans, driving issue resolution, and facilitating communication for alignment and necessary escalations.
