About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Manage the program lifecycle for global Data Protection Office (DPO) initiatives, ensuring compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other global privacy regulations in collaboration with legal and product teams.
- Serve as a privacy subject matter expert, driving process improvements and optimization, including leveraging AI tools to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
- Monitor and report on company-wide data protection activities to the DPO and management, tracking key metrics (e.g., DPIAs, user requests, privacy incidents) to maintain regulatory oversight.
- Drive DPO related global regulatory compliance efforts, scaling across entities, and strengthening Google Ireland Limited's data controllership operations.
- Partner with DPO stakeholders (DPO, DPO delegates) and our legal and engineering partners to build products that simultaneously grow and protect our users and communities.
