International Growth Consultant, Google Ads (English, Japanese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working with international teams, clients or partners.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently, as this role involves working with Japan-based businesses and clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced professional degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience promoting to, or consulting with app developers and companies.
  • Experience in thought leadership in applying data driven models that have had a tangible impact on marketing operations across international markets.
  • Familiarity with gaming app business and marketing strategy.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages (Korean/Mandarin Chinese) fluently to have familiarity with businesses and cultural nuances of multiple countries.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align multiple stakeholders internally and externally to defined goals and deliverables.

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing businesses grow. Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As an expert on international growth success factors and member of a global network that you can leverage, you will be a trusted advisor and partner to our App Developers. From strategic planning, identifying the aimed markets, to setting them up for success within their non-domestic footprint, you will provide insights and support and help them reach and exceed their international goals. Working closely with our advertisers, you will develop an understanding of their business needs, objectives and decision processes. You will identify the levers for success, and present insights that shape customers’ plans. You will create Google-caliber solutions that turn these plans into results.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships to serve as a trusted consultant with international customers to fuel their advertising growth.
  • Understand customers’ objectives, and help them achieve these by developing forward-thinking, data-driven export sales recommendations and by educating them on wider export-related topics and opportunities.
  • Identify high-impact export opportunities based on existing frameworks and tools, and develop new ideas and approaches to drive export growth for your assigned portfolio.
  • Partner with sales and cross-functional teams to manage end-to-end support from expansion strategy to campaign execution. Contribute to growing export acumen and resources within Google, and support other members by sharing knowledge about your own market.
  • Participate and lead external workshops and training to educate customers beyond your assigned portfolio on export opportunities and strategies.
