UX Designer, Rapid Innovation, Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in product design or UX.
  • Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
  • Experience working with Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Content Strategists, and Product Managers throughout the design process.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in designing for emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and augmented reality.
  • Knowledge of UX principles, best practices, and methodologies.
  • Ability to work separately and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to deliver innovative and user-centric designs that meet business objectives and user needs.
  • Current, active US Government Top Secret clearance.

About the job

As a UX Designer on the Rapid Innovation team, you will be responsible for creating user-centric designs that push the boundaries of what's possible for customer missions. You will collaborate with industry experts, technical program managers, and architects to bring solutions and partnering with Public Sector customers.

In this role, you will deliver UX designs for systems through conducting design-thinking centered design workshops, writing production-quality code in support of front-end development.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with public sector customers partnering with industry executives, architects, technical program managers, and cloud solutions architects to gather requirements, understand customer mission use cases, and identify pain points.
  • Conduct comprehensive user research to identify user needs, behaviors, and preferences, develop innovative and user-centric designs for prototypes that demonstrate the customer missions.
  • Work with engineers and developers to translate designs into functional prototypes, ensure integration with existing systems and technologies, test and iterate on designs through user feedback and usability testing to ensure they meet user needs.
  • Present designs to customers, stakeholders, and executives in a clear, compelling, and engaging manner.
  • Contribute to the development of design standards, guidelines, and processes within the Rapid Innovation team.
