About the job

As a Budget Program Manager, you will establish budget management processes, measure and report out on the current status of our responsible optimization and investing outcomes across the full range of the YouTube Global Ops OpEx portfolio spanning Tech, Support and Trust and Safety verticals.You will collaborate with many cross-functional partners including other Operations functions, Finance, Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Go-To-Market, Prod Operations, Trust and Safety.

You will organize with meticulous attention to detail, tracking and reporting on Operational Expenditure (OpEx) spend, managing budget governance, monitoring the progress of key project milestones, and driving the launch of new program features and initiatives that require cross-functional resources. As a trusted steward of Team OKRs, you will also support the team in driving and influencing overall portfolio discovery, tracking, reporting, and execution.

You will organize chaos in ambiguity anticipating roadblocks in advance, keeping programs on track by following up on action items and dependencies, devising and implementing efficient processes with widely adopted artifacts, and effectively communicating program status to executives and cross-functional teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Track and report readouts of current status of YouTube’s Global Operations OpEx spend and investments. 
  • Partner with the return on investment (ROI) team’s executive program managers to size cost-savings opportunities and conduct one to three analyses with a clear recommendation per quarter.
  • Run YouTube Operations Annual Budget Planning process with leadership, Operations Chief of Staff, and cross-functional stakeholders. Act as a subject-matter expert for YouTube Operations budget allocation and spend.
  • Partner with the Finance team to ensure unique Operations budget needs align with central Finance processes and reporting.
  • Establish, scale, and continuously and measurably improve processes, tools and documentation to ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration and to meet growing or changing needs.
