Product Manager I, Search Live

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical roles.
  • 2 years of experience launching consumer-facing products, specifically involving mobile apps, voice interfaces, or video technologies.
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working with generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or conversational agents.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use data to drive product decisions.

We do this by guiding and inspiring users as they ask their questions. Enabling users to ask questions in new ways and bringing this helpfulness to Google Search entry points everywhere.

Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, intuitive, and engaging onboarding experiences that teach users how to drive conversations with Search, turning novel features into daily habits.
  • Design fluid experiences that allow users to easily integrate video and audio inputs into their natural conversation flow, reducing friction and increasing utility.
  • Articulate defined product goals in a way that captures attention and compels others to drive action despite obstacles and engaging priorities.
  • Support Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) by collaborating with partner teams (e.g., Engineers, Program Managers (PgMs), UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams integrate the Live experience broadly across the Google Search ecosystem, ensuring a cohesive user journey from entry point to resolution.
