About the job

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

As a part of Google Public Sector's Mission Engineering Management and Operations (MEMO), you will lead the technical delivery of Google Cloud innovation to strategic U.S. Government customers. You will be responsible for enabling Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for these customers, ensuring the successful implementation and operation of complex, multi-disciplinary projects that are critical to our customer's mission. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic program management, and exceptional leadership to manage large-scale cloud deployments, navigate complex security and compliance landscapes, and foster relationships with executive government stakeholders.

Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.
