Senior UX Manager, Google One

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product design or UX.
  • 5 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams.
  • 3 years of work experience working with executive leaders.
  • Experience with Gen AI technology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
  • Experience influencing product and business strategy and crafting engaging user-focused directions that map to the strategy.
  • Experience using UX to influence decision making, communicate the concepts, and facilitate understanding.
  • Experience fostering divergent design thinking and guiding radical ideas that can truly evolve products and drive impact across multiple cross-product initiatives with a group of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate positions to influence and challenge partners with new design thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and develop a team of UX designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Act as a key influencer for user experiences, aligning product and business goals with innovative, user-focused solutions.
  • Discover and pursue new UX and product opportunities, navigating a dynamic landscape.
  • Allocate UX resources and prioritize projects to meet objectives. Manage the entire UX process from concept to execution.
  • Build a culture of rapid exploration, prototyping and iteration cycles— all in service of learning and shipping with urgency. Provide clear hypotheses for the team’s work, measure results, and be comfortable pivoting quickly based on insights. Unblock decision-making and fast turnaround times, be comfortable operating in ambiguity and rapidly evolving requirements.
