Strategic Insights Lead, Large Customer Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting, or media (e.g., search, social, mobile, display, and video media).
  • 5 years of experience creating and presenting customer-facing materials (e.g., pitches, narratives, or one-sheets) for sales teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with CXO/executive stakeholders (Director+ or equiv) on developing and delivering impactful thought leadership and strategic insights.
  • Experience working with AI, Ads, and technology innovations, translating them into relevant insights for Chief Experience Officer (CXO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and cross-industry groups.
  • Understanding of business issues, with the ability to easily link CXO topics and agendas to actionable strategic insights, brought to life by market leading storytelling.
  • Ability to challenge executive audiences with data-driven insights.
  • Ability to have an expansive thinking to distill big-picture from detail to drive excellence in insights generation and dissemination.

The Strategic Insights team is the driving channel behind Google's market-leading strategic insights and industry-defining thought leadership. The team acts as deep partners to Google sales to curate and deliver forward-looking industry-leading sales and business storytelling that fosters strategic dialogue, inspires innovation, and strengthens CXO executive partnerships. Through deep analysis, industry trends, and bespoke research, this team unlocks the power of Google's thought leadership, connecting our most valued customers with the insights and solutions they need to navigate the complexities of AI and the future of marketing.

This team partners with the Leadership and Innovation Labs and Summits team and our Scaled Enablement Team to provide innovative insights and narratives for transformative executive experiences and, ensure great work and thought leadership is scaled, respectively.

Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Curate and deliver forward-looking strategic sales and business storytelling that aligns with Google's business objectives and customer needs.
  • Lead the development of innovative strategic insights and narratives – including formats, content, and research – that resonate with C-suite audiences and maximize impact.
  • Collaborate closely with Executives, Sales Leadership, and relevant cross-functional teams to understand strategic priorities, industry challenges, and trends, translating insights into high-value thought leadership.
  • Forge strong partnerships with Sales Leadership to ensure insights strategy delivers against sales objectives and oversee the development of insightful content, industry trends, and bespoke research to enhance Google's thought leadership.
  • Drive agile delivery of insights to respond to market shifts, innovate to lead, and meet evolving priorities while continuously optimizing the effectiveness of insights programs to maximize Return on Investment (ROI) and long-term impact.
