Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in Big Data Analytics.
  • 5 years of experience in scripting, transforming data sets and reconciling data issues.
  • 5 years of experience with Data Visualization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 5 years of experience in data center strategic demand and capacity planning and systems design/automation.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Data Center Planning organization is responsible for identifying the cost-efficient set of data centers to meet a forecast demand signal, and for identifying and planning the Product Areas who will occupy them. This work relies on a Supply-Demand Matching (SDM) process, coordinated by both solver engines and extensive team knowledge, defining the direction of a global, hyperscale data center portfolio.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Embody a true pioneering spirit in a start-up environment meeting needs for business development.
  • Instrument a blend of analysis, program design, implementation and operations management skills to improve our processes and data in order to define the long term build forecast.
  • Analyze large data sets quickly to identify complex patterns and relationships resulting in operational solutions to real business problems.
  • Define data requirements and metrics, working with teams to implement the entire data flow from capture to presentation and management.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders in order to identify technological and business constraints to avoid scheduling conflicts in the presence of multiple orders participating for limited resources over the planning horizon.
