Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- 14 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 12 years with an advanced degree.
- Experience creating business partnerships and cultivating cross-functional relationships through project management, and presenting to executive audience.
- Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functions, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, business cases, and modeling within a multinational company.
- Experience with programming (e.g., SQL).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building finance models and supporting transformative projects that will drive continuous improvement and have significant business impact.
- Experience delivering business case transformation and program financial discipline.
- Experience leading the financial side of organizational change, ensuring process transformations result in bottom-line Profit and Loss (P&L) efficiencies.
- Experience in a complex, globally scaled environment, planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level.
- Experience presenting recommendations to and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI)/technology investments and partnership with technology teams to develop, scope and finance programs.
About the job
In this role, you will join the Core team, which builds the technical foundation behind Google’s products. You will help lead an AI transformation program to accelerate efficiency, improve user experience, and reduce risk by expanding the use of Generative AI, engineering, and process transformation. Additionally, you will partner with business leadership to help make investment decisions, improve spend governance practices, and realize efficiencies resulting from AI transformation efforts.
You will work closely with the AI Transformation Program Finance Director to architect the financial framework for Alphabet’s most significant technological evolution, turning GenAI's into a disciplined, measurable reality. You will lead and align stakeholders around shared financial and operational goals for AI transformation opportunities. You will craft the narrative for C-level leadership, translating complex AI initiatives into clear business cases and performance metrics. You will bridge the gap between technical engineering foundations and capital allocation, ensuring that AI investments meaningfully accelerate company velocity and efficiency.
In this role, you will act as a finance leader, engaging with engineering leads and developing financial business cases. You will also develop communications for executive audiences and influence leadership through data analysis and narratives.
Responsibilities
- Shape and evolve the AI transformation narrative by managing goals and tracking program efficiency and other key metrics.
- Advocate innovation and roadmap development, delivering thought leadership to define stretch goals for future capabilities
- Manage end-to-end financial strategy, co-developing business cases and performance metrics, ensuring alignment of investments with capital allocation.
- Ensure executive alignment through compelling C-level communications for Finance leadership, detailing strategic impact and progress updates.
- Cultivate key cross-functional partnerships to efficiently manage projects and deliver measurable business case transformation outcomes.
