Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality, relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in a senior leadership role in hospitality, facilities, or workplace services.
  • Experience in people management and people development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in supporting the design, development and opening of restaurant, cafes, event, services venues, and gyms in multiple countries.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide large complex outsourced vendor partner organizations with experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Acute business acumen, understanding of organizational issues and challenges, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver on continuous improvement, meeting/exceeding client expectations, and a passion for finding operational efficiencies.
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.

About the job

The Workplace Programs team at Google are composed of the Food, Health, and Performance, Events, and Amenities programs and serve over 180,000 Googlers at a global scale. These operational services, experiences, products, and programs are being delivered through a large network of site services vendor partners.

As the Workplace Programs Director, you will report to the General Manager of the Bay region and be a part of the Bay Regional Leadership team. You will oversee the regional Workplace Programs operations services delivery team, and be responsible and accountable for the effective and efficient execution of these programs across the region. You will directly lead multiple complex, cross-functional projects, work closely with executive-level stakeholders and business leaders, as well as vendor partners to operationalize high impact projects and programs, inspiring and mobilizing your team to deliver impact for all of Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) and Google.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $240,000-$338,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Leverage broad expertise and in-depth knowledge of food, events, hospitality, health and performance services, and cross-functional subject matter experts (including real estate, facilities, business operations, safety/security, events, etc.) to lead a unified “solutions partner” approach to the global delivery of Workplace Programs services, experiences, products and programs.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes that enable efficient program activation and compliance across a rapidly growing and evolving network.
  • Lead multiple complex operational and strategic initiatives, from conception to post mortem, leading cross-functional teams to get work done. 
  • Prioritize multiple projects, drawing on sound business judgment and a robust understanding of context and business goals.
  • Drive impact and execution by activating and influencing a network of partners. Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
