Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
- Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience shipping consumer products.
- Experience with manufacturing methods used in consumer products.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. As a Product Design Engineer, you will design the next generation of Pixel Watch. You will drive the design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts while working in a manufacturing and product-oriented development environment. You demonstrate creative problem solving and design skills, clear communication, and a solid base of engineering fundamentals. Your strong organizational skills help you manage your varied responsibilities across the product. You will work on a Product Design team that balances comfort, performance, and appearance in an innovative and harmonious design that complements and enables the technology. You will collaborate with external vendors and internal cross-functional teams such as Electrical Engineering, Antenna, Industrial Design, Reliability, Operations, Camera, and Product to define and deliver excellent products.
Responsibilities
- Apply design, engineering, and technical expertise to influence cross-functionally and deliver reliable mass production components, and solve time-sensitive problems.
- Anticipate and address product design issues or risks, analyze data, and validate product design to suggest or implement design improvements.
- Manage the product design, provide guidance to team members, and communicate progress, and request feedback to prevent/remove roadblocks.
