Business Program Manager, Change Management, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in program management, client services or management consulting.
  • Experience delivering enterprise digital transformation projects to customers (e.g., cloud migrations or multi-cloud transformations across data warehousing and analytics, application development, or cybersecurity solutions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of in-person Change Management training programs and in creating virtual Change Management training modules.
  • Knowledge of the Prosci Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement (ADKAR) methodology or other organizational change management methodologies.
  • Ability to execute on creating business key messages, enablement/training materials, measuring adoption and managing resistance to change.
  • Excellent people management, influencing and communication skills.

About the job

The Change Management team within the Strategy and Operations organization exists to operationalize processes, systems, tools, and business priorities by driving change management and coordinating landing efforts. Our team maintains a strategic outlook to understand the totality of planned changes that will collectively impact customer and partner-facing roles, while delivering to ensure that individual changes are effectively landed to field promoters. We enable field roles to easily consume and adopt change. We are also a center of excellence for the Change Manager community within Google Cloud.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a change landing strategy and plan with the goal of maximizing field adoption of tactical changes within Google Cloud. You will have to create a change management strategy and landing plan.

The Go-to-Market Strategy and Operations organization partners with our Google Cloud Sales organization to develop Go-to-Market strategies, providing business critical insights using analytics, ensuring cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helping teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. Our team of creative visionaries thrives in deconstructing and re-creating businesses to meet changing strategic and operational needs, enable, incubate and scale innovation, establish more efficient practices, align functions and stakeholders to help the company continue to achieve its vast potential.

Responsibilities

  • Support and engage executive leaders to provide active, visible, and coordinated sponsorship.
  • Support the design and development of key messages documents and ensure communications lead has input to draft and deliver communications.
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs. Evaluate and ensure field readiness.
  • Create a change impact assessment that addresses systems, process, and job role impact.
  • Define success measures, track and report adoption, and monitor change progress.
