Strategic Partner Manager, YouTube Shopping (English, Portuguese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Portuguese to engage with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, learn fast, stay motivated across operations and commercial functions.
  • Strong investigative, logical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial and value points with partners and internal Google teams.

About the job

In this role, you will lead the launch of a video commerce venture on YouTube to transform the e-commerce landscape in Brazil. Your primary focus will be making the platform a premier shopping destination by developing a comprehensive sales strategy, analyzing market data, onboarding and retaining retailers, and educating creators and brands on e-commerce best practices to drive profitable growth for everyone involved.

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of YouTube shopping in Brazil with a focus on critical Business metrics (GMV and Earning channels).
  • Negotiate and onboard new retailers to fuel shopping growth and lead strategies to maintain existing merchants engaged with the program for the longer term.
  • Analyze campaign performance, sales data, video commerce market reports, and KPIs to inform market shopping strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase YouTube Shopping adoption by the creator base in the market.
  • Serve as the local market expert for Brazil, pinpointing unique partnership opportunities, and providing the global team with the necessary insights and recommendations.
