Head of Business Operations, YouTube, Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience with strategic projects, cross-functional stakeholder management, and project management.
  • Experience in a Chief of Staff or Strategy and Operations role, or a similar role requiring leadership of varied strategic and operational initiatives while working closely with senior executive leaders.
  • Understanding of the Media Company (e.g., television, film, sports) and digital distribution ecosystems.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the big picture to executive teams, while maintaining exceptional attention to execution details, work autonomously and keep multiple priorities moving at the same time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including deck-building skills.

About the job

The YouTube Central Planning and Operations Team is responsible for leading global, cross-functional, strategic initiatives to drive the unprecedented growth and health of the YouTube ecosystem. The core capabilities of the team include strategic planning and business operations, incentives design and operations, business strategy and operations for the three regions: Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

As the Head of Business Operations for YouTube’s Media Company (MediaCo) Partnerships, you will partner closely with the leadership to support efficient business operations and execute on high priority initiatives. You will demonstrate the ability to lead through ambiguity, display the confidence to thoughtfully persuade and partner with senior leaders, and build strong cross-functional relationships at multiple levels of the organization. You will demonstrate a good balance between strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and pragmatism in accomplishing goals effectively.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Set strategic priorities for YouTube MediaCo Partnerships leadership team, including leading agenda and content development for weekly leadership meetings, executive offsites, all team meetings, and organization-wide communications.
  • Drive, create programs and processes to solve business operations challenges, and influence cross-functional teams and leadership to bring them to life with executive ready materials.
  • Collaborate, develop and successfully land YouTube-wide initiatives in the MediaCo organization.
  • Lead MediaCo team culture and development efforts (e.g., recognition, training).
  • Lead budget and headcount allocation strategy and management, resourcefully ensuring adherence to budgets.
