Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Android Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, in the Consumer Electronics, Telecom, Apps, Ads, or Technology industries.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience working with legal agreements, able to interpret legal documents and work with attorneys on specific agreement language.
  • knowledge of mobile devices, technologies and market trends.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess business benefits, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to interact with local stakeholders and understand user needs in the Japanese market.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you will open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You will work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

Responsibilities

  • Own partner relationships as the Strategic Partner Manager.
  • Lead key Platforms and Devices and Google-wide efforts with some of the key partners in Japan.
  • Develop and execute on partnership plans to grow the Partners and Devices (P&D) ecosystem, while helping our partners succeed.
  • Explore new opportunities with existing and new partners in the market.
  • Work across Google to drive alignment and collaborate to deliver impact.
