Strategic Sourcing Manager, OEM, Hardware and System Integration, GDC

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in Partner Management, Business Development, Sales, or Channel Development in the technology industry.
  • Experience in public cloud solutions across SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing and growing technology partnership relationships with cross-functional teams internally and externally.
  • Experience launching partner products and solutions, including channel go-to-market motions such as multi-partner solutions, procurement through cloud marketplaces, and consumption-based solutions.
  • Experience interfacing with, and being a trusted partner for, C-level executives in partner companies, and planning and managing at strategic and operational levels.
  • Experience managing OEM partnerships (Compute, Networking and Storage) and system integrators.
  • Experience working in a partnership role at a leading SaaS company.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML, hybrid cloud, or edge compute programs.

Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) extends Google’s infrastructure and services to customer data centers, edge locations, and hybrid environments.

As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will lead sourcing and supplier strategy for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) hardware (Compute, Network and Storage) and system integration partners that enable scalable, secure, and sustainable distributed cloud deployments. You will drive the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle from supplier selection and commercial negotiations to hardware lifecycle management and regional integration capacity, ensuring that Google’s distributed infrastructure can scale efficiently across cloud, edge, and AI workloads. You will require commercial acumen, technical depth, and strategic influence, working closely with Hardware Engineering, Product Management, GDC Supply Chain Operations, and Legal teams to deliver exceptional infrastructure solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $218,000-$306,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own global sourcing strategy for OEM compute, networking, and storage hardware, optimizing for performance, scalability, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Develop multi-year category strategies covering OEMs (Compute, Network and Storage) and system integrators supporting GDC deployments.
  • Lead engagement with system integrators to define rack integration, testing, burn-in, and logistics orchestration models.
  • Scale integration capacity in North America, EMEA, and APAC to support GDC deployments across enterprise, telco, and public-sector customers.
  • Partner with Hardware Engineering, NPI, GDC Technical Program Management, and GDC Supply Chain Operations to align supply readiness with product roadmap milestones.
