About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will be the operational backbone of the Privacy Policies and Advisory (PPA) team, responsible for driving all changes to Google's internal privacy policies, standards, and guidelines from intake to post-publication. You will own and evolve the operational policy process, ensuring that the creation, update, and depreciation of guidance is executed in a smooth, predictable, and audit-ready manner.

You will have expertise in program management and process improvement and will be able to work across all privacy domains and effectively interface with stakeholders in Regulatory, Compliance, and Investigations (RCI) and Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS). You will demonstrate an understanding of what it takes to maintain operational excellence, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and enable the delivery of effective privacy guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the Privacy Policies and Advisory guidance life-cycle processes and associated tooling.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across Privacy, Legal, and Compliance communities. Represent Privacy Policies and Advisory in cross-functional forums to ensure alignment with broader company objectives.
  • Own the ongoing updates of the Privacy Policies and Advisory Playbook and Checklist. Foster a culture of continuous learning within the team and implement feedback loops to improve the policy life-cycle.
  • Develop and implement a framework to measure the effectiveness of guidance, partnering with Policy Leads on post-launch analysis to assess impact.
  • Serve as Office of Privacy Resilience lead for the "Comply" tool, facilitating requirement mapping and bulk uploads. Collaborate with Risk, Compliance and Integrity privacy policy team to enhance the policy life-cycle.
