Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or performing statistical analysis.
- 5 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.
- Experience in causal inference, A/B testing, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
- Experience in SQL and Python programming, leveraging ML or statistical libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, Keras, Pandas).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience using Causal Inference or Bayesian Statistics.

YouTube Marketing Data Science, Infra and Analytics (DSIA) is an analyst team that influences and informs YouTube’s marketing and products teams. We work on projects that are at the heart of Go-To-Market and brand strategy for YouTube using data to ensure our marketing efforts are efficiently and effectively deployed. This role will lead to a team that drives full stack measurement and insights for YouTube Shopping and Creator marketing.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Business Data Scientists and Analysts in delivering project work including implementing data science solutions, improving data pipelines, developing evaluation metrics, or building statistical models that provide insights to the business.
- Embed with marketing leadership on YouTube shopping and YouTube creators to understand their high level goals and translate those into data science and investigative priorities.
- Design experiments and use causal inference to measure effectiveness of models, tools, and programs.
- Drive internal visibility and opportunities for the team, define team strategy in partnership with leadership and stakeholders, and remove technical and organizational blockers.
- Build a team with a collaborative and growing growth culture. Develop your team to reach their career goals through coaching and development opportunities.
