Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
- Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in marketing campaign management and project management.
- Experience developing compelling visual assets, messaging and narratives.
- Ability to design end-to-end marketing strategy using both quantitative and qualitative insights, and promotional programs.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with a variety of teams and job functions including business development, product management, brand marketing, and external partners.
- Ability to identify partner goals and issues to effectively recommend marketing narratives and programs that can deliver outcomes.
About the job
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As a Marketing Manager, you will drive the product marketing strategy, informing both internal and external stakeholders on marketing opportunities, and providing market context and key insights on products and features. You will drive decisions and help form guiding principles for launch and growth of Google product features and services in the market. You will support content strategy, run medium to large-scale campaigns, and communicate effectively through multiple scalable marketing initiatives. You will develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive education, engagement, and product adoption by leveraging various channels. You will understand the detailed insights and big picture implications to help solve problems by reaching an optimal solution. You will proactively develop industry or product landscape knowledge and stay up to date on the latest industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Develop the framework development and rollout of strategies for product marketing content across channels. Define, identify, collect, and track appropriate product or business metrics, both quantitative and qualitative, for new or existing products.
- Develop and execute end-to-end go-to-market plans by aligning product positioning with audience needs. Translate deep user insights into actionable feedback for cross-functional product development.
- Manage end-to-end process for campaign template creation, from initial intake and project brief development to final approval.
- Deliver fully realized campaign templates with minimal supervision, manage project components and contribute to high impact marketing efforts.
- Coordinate marketing copy including hand-offs from product managers and managing global scale like translations, regional legal approvals, etc. Maintain source of truth for marketing copy, including copy on assets, websites, and those used in offer set-up.
