Senior Silicon Architect, Pixel Power

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with Embedded Processors and System Architecture, Firmware, System On a Chip, Device Drivers and Microprocessors.
  • 8 years of experience with embedded software development in C.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • 5 years of experience with analyzing and optimizing SoC power management features.
  • Experience with processor core architectures (e.g., ARM, x86, RISC-V, etc.) and IPs used in SoC designs.
  • Experience with HLOS, Linux Kernel, Firmware, Device Drivers and hardware control.
  • Experience with Performance Analysis, Code, Power, Performance, and Software.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional efforts to scope out and land power saving features that improve battery life in production software.
  • Define roadmap for system power improvements along with projected savings from landed solutions.
  • Document the software architecture, including diagrams, specifications, and design rationale with reference to requirements for KPIs for security, power, performance, and debugability.
  • Collaborate with feature development teams to support implementation efforts and guide test plans for functional and system level validation, and analyze barriers to improving feature utilization on existing designs and feed learnings into roadmap efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional silicon teams to land data driven improvements to hardware roadmap designs.
