Strategy and Operations Manager, Large Customer Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to engage with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience influencing and advising senior executives.
  • Experience with planning, sales or marketing, and in structuring and implementing initiatives with sales teams.
  • Experience leading business strategy development for large multinational organization.
  • Ability to establish relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional technical and business partners.
  • Developed data extraction/analysis skills using spreadsheet software.

About the job

As a Commercial Strategy and Operations Manager, you own large, complex projects and are responsible for end-to-end outcomes and deliverables. You proactively identify new strategic opportunities and provide a point of view on options, risks, and upsides that affect business growth. You innovate and design new, creative solutions to broad and complex problems, and proactively identify systemic issues within the business. You navigate ambiguity by distilling undefined issues into clear problem statements. You influence and achieve alignment among a diverse set of stakeholders with competing objectives, and effectively build relationships with senior stakeholders. You serve as a go-to subject matter expert and act as a source of truth in your business area.

This is an individual contributor role in which you will partner with 2 of our sector leads on the Brazil Large Customer Sales organization in driving operational excellence and identifying/developing go-to-market strategies.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IS and FCG&M sector leads to enhance operational efficiency and develop effective go-to-market strategies within the Brazil LCS organization.
  • Own and manage complex projects, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery and outcomes.
  • Identify strategic opportunities, analyze risks and upsides, and provide informed recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Design innovative solutions to complex problems, address systemic issues, and navigate ambiguity by defining clear problem statements.
  • Influence diverse stakeholders, align on solutions, and deliver data-driven insights through scalable models to inform sales leadership decisions.
